Sarahah App With Its Problems

Sarahah (صراحة) is a social networking service for providing anonymous feedback. In Arabic sarahah means "frankness" or means the "honesty".
It was created by Zain al-Abidin Tawfiq in the end of 2016 and reached a sudden worldwide success in the mid of 2017.
According to its developer, Zain Tawfiq, a Saudi Arabian developer, the app is meant to help users identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Messages are sent anonymously hence help the user cannot reply to the person who sent the message or even know who it is.

Problem : It’s been discovered that Sarahah is uploading users’ contacts onto the company’s servers. This includes all contacts on a application users contact-book and email address.

When it asked to the developer of Sarahah who is
Zain Tawfiq, he argued to end users and says that the uploaded data is not stored in the database of their server.

They made a website for this reason, so they can get user or end user feedback to their systems.

He also said that they don’t store the contacts in their databases and the data request functionality will be removed in future Sarahah releases.
